A large American flag waves across the ground floor wall of the Polk County Supervisor of Elections building on South Broadway Avenue.
In Bartow Unframed, the flag comes to life in 3D with fireworks, set to a patriotic song and drums.
Bartow is spelled out in large white script across a field of pink and red folk art flowers, beneath the words “my heart belongs to.” The mural wraps a downtown building on Wilson Avenue just off Main Street.
Gillian Fazio of Gillian Fazio Art created the design in a project sponsored by the Bartow CRA.
In Bartow Unframed, the flowers come to life and bloom right on your screen.
A bee with outstretched wings hovers over oranges, lemons and leaves inside an ornate frame, painted on the side of the building at 315 East Summerlin Street.
The Bartow CRA annual report credits the Zest Mural with adding vibrancy and visual identity to the downtown streetscape.
In Bartow Unframed, the bee buzzes off the wall and circles the citrus.
A panther and two cubs stretch across a downtown building wall above the words “Bartow, FL,” joined by a green lizard and a butterfly.
Posing under the panther’s paw is a known photo spot in downtown Bartow.
In Bartow Unframed, the panther leaps off the wall at full scale, surrounded by blue butterflies.
